Caring for your cashmere
Some of our scarves are either Hand-Made or of a delicate material and require special care when it comes to cleaning. While we would strongly recommend Dry Cleaning as the preferable method, Hand Washing can be an option if the following rules are adhered to:
* There is no need to wash your new scarf upon delivery.
Pour one capful of hair shampoo or mild detergent such as wool mix into a clean tub, be sure to use COLD water. Soak the cashmere for 5 minutes, then press and squeeze the soapy water through your cashmere. and gently massage. SPECIAL GARMENT CARE: It is best to leave ink printed garments to the professional qualified dry cleaners.
Roll up the cashmere into a ball and squeeze excessive water gently, repeat with clean water until water clear.
Lay your semi-wet cashmere onto a towel and roll it up. Press out as much water as you can. Lay scarf flat on a drying rack. NEVER hang them. Whilst drying keep scarf away from heat and direct sunlight. Sun is the number one enemy of any scarves that have vegetable dyes in the manufacturing process.
Iron press your cashmere with steam inside out on low heat to return the cashmere to its original shape. Tips: It is the best to avoid direct contact of the iron and the cashmere garment by covering the cashmere garment. Use a piece of clean cotton tea towel when pressing the garment.
Always clean your cashmere before storing them away. Moths are especially crazy about dirty natural fibres.
Fold all your clean cashmere and store them in a drawer. It’s always the best to store them with a natural moth repellent; Cedar balls, cedar chips, cedar cloves or sachets made with lavender oil are few of the natural moth repellent that you can use.
When purchase from CASHMERISM online, a protector bag will be offered complimentary to each order so that later on you can store your cashmere in the bag.

These scarves can be hand-washed gently in lukewarm water with sunlight soap, hand wrung until water is clear and left to hang in a shaded place until dried. Iron on recommended settings.
After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details – within a few minutes of ordering. All products listed on site are available for shipping unless otherwise stated. Please allow up to 10 business days Australia wide for your order to be delivered. Should your item not arrive within the estimated delivery time please advise our customer service team at: email@example.com
We use Australia Post eParcel. We will confirm despatch of your order via email and provide a tracking number. If for any reason we have a delay on fulfilling your order, we will notify you by email. Please note your parcel must be signed upon delivery.
If your parcel cannot be delivered for any reason, Australia Post will leave a card advising you to collect your parcel at your convenience from your local post office within a specified time frame. Any items not collected within the time frame will be returned to Nightingale Collections.

At Nightingale Collections we want you to enjoy your shopping experience with us. We are proud of the quality of our products and our manufacturing standard. Many items are handmade and delicate and may contain inconsistencies in the weave which are an integral part of the uniqueness of the product.
However, should any defect of manufacture present itself upon delivery we will offer you a refund or an exchange in accordance with the return process outlined below:
- You should inspect the goods immediately on receipt and advise us of any fault/defect by email at: email@example.com
- You must provide proof of purchase, being an invoice, bank statement or email confirmation from Nightingale Collections
- We will not accept any goods for return which have been damaged or not laundered in accordance with our care instructions.
- Refunds can only be credited back to the credit card that was used to make the original purchase
- We will not be responsible for any returned goods until they have been received by us, and therefore recommend that goods are returned by registered mail to ensure proof of receipt. We will not be responsible for return parcels lost or damaged in transit.
- We will advise you be email, once you goods have been received and assessed. Please allow up to 14 business days for your exchange to be shipped or your credit to be processed.
While we endeavour to reproduce images/colours as accurately as possible, there may be some variation depending on screen resolution or monitor settings for each individual computer.
